About the role
The Learning Support Long-Term Substitute Teacher will establish a special education program that promotes social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth by providing rich and engaging experiences.
Responsibilities
- Establish effective rapport with students
- Motivate students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for learning, in accordance with each student's ability
- Create and maintain good relationships with parents and other staff members
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Applicable Pennsylvania Teaching Certification
Qualifications
- Current Clearances Are Required And Include:
- Child Abuse History Clearance
- PA Criminal Record Check
- FBI Fingerprint Clearance
- Mandated Reporter of Child Abuse Training
Skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
