About the role

The Learning Support Long-Term Substitute Teacher will establish a special education program that promotes social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth by providing rich and engaging experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Establish effective rapport with students
  • Motivate students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for learning, in accordance with each student's ability
  • Create and maintain good relationships with parents and other staff members

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Applicable Pennsylvania Teaching Certification

Qualifications

  • Current Clearances Are Required And Include:
    • Child Abuse History Clearance
    • PA Criminal Record Check
    • FBI Fingerprint Clearance
    • Mandated Reporter of Child Abuse Training

Skills

  • Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
