About the role
This position involves designing and delivering learning experiences for students in a grade level and/or content area. The role also includes organizing and facilitating the learning process using evidence-based instructional practices and applicable technology.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver learning experiences for students in a grade level and/or content area.
- Organize and facilitate the learning process using evidence-based instructional practices and applicable technology.
- Participate in a community of learning to develop and refine knowledge and skills for the academic, civic, social, and emotional success of students.
- Evaluate student progress, make appropriate adjustments, and communicate student progress.
- Collaborate, reflect, and grow to improve learning opportunities for students.
Requirements
- Hold a valid Colorado teaching license.
- Be certified as an Academic Language Practitioner (CALP) by the Academic Language Therapy Association (ALTA).
- Meet subject, grade level, and/or content area qualifications consistent with Colorado Department of Education and Academy District 20 requirements.
- Have a Bachelor's degree.
- Have experience in literacy and mathematics, and knowledge of other content areas at the elementary level.
- At the secondary level, have knowledge of literacy and mathematics and be a content area expert.
Qualifications
- Experience in creating and implementing lessons that connect to a variety of content areas and disciplines, emphasizing literacy and mathematical practices.
- Knowledge of the content, central concepts, inquiry, appropriate evidence-based instructional practices, and specialized characteristics of the disciplines being taught.
- Able to establish a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for a diverse population of students.
- Capable of fostering a predictable learning environment characterized by acceptable student behavior and efficient use of time, where each student has a positive, nurturing relationship with caring adults and peers.
- Proficient in establishing and maintaining accurate record keeping, document management, and filing systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals from many diverse backgrounds and professions.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions, greet and interact with the public in a courteous and professional manner, and maintain confidentiality.

Benefits
- Compensation range: $52,800.00-$85,242.00 (Based on education and experience at 100% FTE)
- Scheduled weekly hours: 18.75
- Scheduled daily hours: 3.75 hour(s) per day
- Number of days per year: 183 Days M-F
- Benefits eligibility: Part-time - Regular
