5-8 Head Coach Girls Volleyball 3656 - Phoenix

Location: Phoenix | Employee Status: Temporary | Hours Per Week: As Needed | Work Calendar: As Needed | Pay Rate: $15.00/hr

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Background experience, training, or coursework in volleyball
• Receptive and expressive American Sign Language (ASL) skills
• CPR/First Aid certificate upon hire
• NFHS Concussion in Sports certification
• NFHS Coaches Education certification (High School Head and Assistant Coaches)
• Valid Arizona Department of Education certificate in Athletic Coaching, Elementary, Secondary, or Special Education (High School Head Coaches)
• Ability to pass FBI and State background check
• Completion of Defensive Driver Training Program if driving on State business
• Ability to pass post-offer physical
• Crisis Intervention Training or certification

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct practices
• Supervise athletes at all times
• Report to Athletic Coordinator regarding accidents, equipment needs, eligibility rosters, transportation and meal requests, and equipment/uniform inventory
• Develop and enforce team rules fairly and equitably
• Provide appropriate leadership and serve as a role model for athletes
• Safely lift and transport non-ambulatory students
• Transport team to away contests in school vehicles if transportation department is unavailable
• Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment as required
• Perform other duties as outlined in the coaches' manual
