About the Event
The 4th joint showcase between NCI and Intersect Australia focuses on AI and Machine Learning in Astrophysics. Artificial intelligence (AI) has become increasingly integral to astrophysics research, helping to accelerate the analysis and discovery process for the massive datasets collected in astronomical studies. This event will feature four peak presentations showcasing state-of-the-art research in this field.
Internationally renowned scientists will demonstrate how large, high-quality datasets, combined with machine learning (ML) analysis algorithms and modern deep learning methods, play a vital role in understanding the cosmos and uncovering new physics. The presentations are of broad interest to scientists in HPC and Big Data, AI and ML, Astronomy, Cosmology, and space science, from advanced graduate research students to early career researchers and beyond.
