Responsibilities

Supervises a team of Production Workers and their daily activities to ensure the needs of all functions within the area are met (production, training, safety, security and housekeeping). Provides leadership/direction to the team and ensures that all the procedures for food safety and manufacturing high quality products are achieved.

  • Personnel: Ensure proper staffing, implement and monitor training, maintain attendance records, counsel team members, evaluate work performance, and provide input for termination decisions.
  • Safety: Enforce safety rules, report accidents, verify work and storage areas are safe, and complete Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP) requirements.
  • Quality: Ensure quality protocols are followed, maintain quality product, recommend methods to improve manufacturing processes, and support Continuous Improvement (CI) efforts.
  • Productivity: Monitor and track inedible, rework and down time, perform production paperwork, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Leadership: Provide direction to team members, demonstrate professionalism, and create a positive work culture.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with peers, subordinates, and leaders, and keep management informed of problems.
  • Misc. Responsibilities: Coordinate processing procedures, monitor product coding, and perform other duties as necessary.

Qualifications

Required Education: High School Diploma or GED. Required Experience: Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in manufacturing and 1+ years Lead experience. Preferred: 2+ years of Supervisory experience, Leadership in food manufacturing industry.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and identify problems
  • Ability to communicate professionally and work effectively with all levels of management and employees
  • Knowledge of plant/distribution center models and production/logistics processes
  • Superior accuracy and attention to detail
  • Planning Skill and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Math and mechanical aptitude, solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Internet navigation, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Benefits

The starting rate for this role is $60,000 - $70,000 per year. Jack Link’s provides a variety of benefits to eligible Team Members, including medical, dental and vision benefits, life and disability insurance, 401k participation, paid holidays, and paid time off.

Schedule

Friday-Sunday 6:00 pm - 6:00 am (hours may vary)
