About the role

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality instruction in assigned subject areas and grade levels.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards.
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student success.
• Participate in professional development and alternative certification training programs.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned by school leadership (e.g., committee work, extracurricular supervision).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Commitment to pursuing Michigan teacher certification through an alternative route.
• Strong subject-matter expertise in the area of instruction (e.g., STEM, humanities, special education).
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with K-12 students and staff.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and meet state certification requirements.
