4th Grade Elementary Teacher

Responsibilities

• Intentionally and consistently integrate faith into living relationships
• Demonstrate classroom management (routine, discipline) appropriate for the assigned grade level
• Cultivate meaningful relationships with students to help them grow academically and spiritually
• Exhibit organization, preparation, and smooth transitioning in lesson planning
• Assign meaningful homework that adds value to student learning
• Maintain appropriate student records in an online database
• Demonstrate mastery of curriculum, objectives, and resources while continuously increasing professional knowledge
• Provide sufficient and clear expectations at all times
• Plan and execute instruction/lessons with student uniqueness in mind
• Supervise student learning activities and other supervisory duties actively and effectively, during and outside of instructional time
• Use differentiated instruction and adjust instruction based on data when necessary
• Be self-reflective, teachable, and willing to collaborate with constructive feedback
• Collaborate with colleagues, giving and receiving perspectives; participate in professional development activities
• Make decisions, changes, and choices that are student- and God-centered
• Respect expectations outlined in the Parent/Student Handbook
• Perform other duties as assigned by the administrator

Requirements

Education Requirements

• Must hold a Bachelor’s degree
• Current teaching license preferred
• Demonstrates content mastery

Spiritual Requirements

• Affirms Bethel’s statements of faith
• Affirmance of being a born-again Christian
• Will serve as an example of Christ’s love
• Lives according to Bethel’s biblical standards
• Regular church attendance and involvement in a like-faith church
