About the role
WOODLAWN ELEMENTARY is seeking a dedicated 4th Grade ELA teacher to join our team starting on August 3, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement effective lessons aligned with state standards.
- Instruct students in reading, writing, speaking, listening, and language skills.
- Evaluate student progress through assessments and provide feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum improvements.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Florida Professional Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education.
- Experience teaching 4th grade English Language Arts preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other educators and staff.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective classroom management skills.
- Knowledge of current educational trends and best practices.
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
