About the Role
A school in North Fort Lauderdale is seeking a passionate and qualified 4th Grade English Language Arts Teacher to join its instructional team. The teacher will provide engaging, standards-based instruction in reading, writing, vocabulary, and grammar while maintaining a positive and supportive classroom environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver lessons aligned with Florida’s B.E.S.T. Standards
- Teach reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and vocabulary
- Differentiate instruction to meet students’ individual learning needs
- Monitor student progress and use assessment data to improve instruction
- Maintain an organized, safe, and respectful classroom
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support personnel
- Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and school activities
- Prepare students for school and state assessments
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Florida teaching certificate in Elementary Education K6 or an appropriate subject area OR Current Statement of Eligibility from the Florida Department of Education
- Ability to pass all required background screening and fingerprinting
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
