About the role

General Merchandise and Food Sales experts ensure product is set, in‑stock, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor. The Inbound Expert supports inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory accuracy, presentation, pricing, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise areas, including Food & Beverage and Food Service. This role provides a fresh, food‑safe experience and handles pick, pack, and ship fulfillment work.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly from 10 ft (smile, eye contact) and 4 ft (friendly interaction).
• Help guests find items, resolve issues, and end each transaction with a sincere thank you.
• Support team efforts and assist peers while maintaining a positive, respectful attitude.
• Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring experience.
• Execute a detailed, accurate, and efficient sorting operation.
• Stock, organize, and store reserve product; straighten merchandise on the sales floor.
• Maintain product availability for General Merchandise categories.
• If certified, operate powered equipment while unloading freight or moving merchandise.
• Process defective merchandise and handle environmentally sensitive items in compliance with laws and regulations.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; report and correct hazards.
• Support guest services such as back‑up cashier, order pick‑up (OPU), and Drive‑Up, complying with adult‑beverage laws.
• Perform all other duties based on business needs.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple‑frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology as directed.
• Work both independently and collaboratively.
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi‑step processes.
• Maintain focus and composure in a fast‑paced environment while handling multiple tasks within established timeframes.
• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Climb ladders, scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, frequently lifting up to 44 lb without assistance.
• Perform repetitive bending, twisting, reaching, and rotating motions throughout the shift.
• Flexible work schedule (including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times).
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements (e.g., Drive‑Up, carry‑out areas).
• Remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.

Pay

Starting hourly rate: $15.00 USD per hour.

Schedule

Flexible schedule with varying hours, days, and shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and other peak shopping times. Employees are expected to work scheduled shifts and take required meal and rest breaks.
