About the role
The position involves assisting QC Inspectors in visually and physically inspecting solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on various structures in compliance with site assessments and schematics.
Responsibilities
- Use appropriate hand and power tools to perform inspections in accordance with codes and standards.
- Lift, carry, and hold building materials, tools, and supplies.
- Clean tools, equipment, material, and work areas.
- Engage in safety-related processes and programs as requested.
- Report all accidents and near misses to supervisor.
- Complete inspections correctly and in a timely manner, meeting requirements of drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
- Assist in the completion of quality checklists and corresponding photos.
- Learn to read and understand plans and specifications, visualize 2D drawings in 3D, and observe system functioning.
- Identify and report hazards and continuous improvement measures.
- Operate construction equipment safely and maintain it in good working order.
- Comply with Company Code of Conduct and jobsite policies.
Qualifications
- 0-1 year of experience working in QC or in any construction craft.
- Knowledge of visual and physical inspection of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- NCCER Construction Craft Laborer NCCER Core Curriculum NCCER Ironworker NCCER Electrician NCCER Concrete Finishing NCCER Carpenter NCCER Solar Photovoltaic Systems Installer or equivalent Craft Training Program certification.
- At least 18 years of age.
