Responsibilities

• Assess physical, mental, and psychological status of patient using age-appropriate knowledge within surgical specialty and patients served.
• Plans, evaluates and supervises care of all patients assigned and within surgical specialty assigned.
• Works collaboratively with other disciplines in care of patients to provide excellent service to patients served.
• Coordinates and participates in formal and informal educational programs, inservices and performance improvement activities to improve technical skills within and outside of surgical specialty assigned.
• Responsible for continued learning and application to practice within and outside of surgical specialty assigned.
• Synthesizes patient care information to formulate appropriate nursing
