4-Year-Old Preschool Associate - Atkins Elementary Center
Benton Community is seeking a passionate, relationship-driven, motivated, and student-first individual to serve preschool students, including those with special needs.
About the role
Assist preschool students in all areas—academics, self-help, play skills, language, social development, motor or physical assistance, peer interactions, recess, bus, feeding, and toileting. Daily schedule will be designed and assigned by the building principal. Approximate weekly hours: 20–35, matching preschool student school days. If school is dismissed early or canceled for weather or other issues, support staff clock out and are not paid.
Responsibilities
- Assist with implementing IEP strategies, behavior programs, and data collection.
- Consult with special education teacher and follow directions from special needs teacher and building principal.
- Assist students with hygiene, toileting, mobility, safety, behavior, and classroom learning.
- Administer, score, and record achievement and diagnostic tests as recommended.
- Supervise students on the playground, in the lunchroom, and at the bus line.
- Perform clerical duties including typing and filing.
- Supervise before and after school programs.
- Participate in in-service training as assigned.
- Help students master equipment or instructional materials assigned by the teacher.
- Alert the teacher to any problem or special information about an individual student.
- Maintain confidentiality and ethical behavior regarding student information.
- Operate and care for classroom equipment.
- Know emergency procedures for the building and classrooms.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Pay
$16.25 regular hourly wage (90-day probationary period).
