3rd Shift Sanitation

Seneca Foods Corporation is dedicated to nourishing families and strengthening communities by providing safe, nutritious, and affordable food. We are looking for a hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and safety‑minded individual to join our Sanitation team on the 3rd shift.

Schedule

Full‑Time, 9:30 pm – 6:00 am, Monday‑Friday, with occasional overtime as needed.

Pay

$21.83 per hour (Sanitation).

Responsibilities

• Handle and properly use cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Use proper lock‑out/tag‑out procedures.
• Maintain and operate a forklift safely at all times, including completing daily forklift inspections.
• Properly use steam/hot‑water system.
• Properly use product and material‑handling pumps.
• Read and understand English language instructions.
• Tote and barrel dumping.
• Dipping cherries from totes.
• Pumping processing and brine tanks.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
• Complete internal GMP/HACCP/BRC training.
• Communicate effectively with team members.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of forklift experience preferred (food‑processing experience a plus).
• Basic math and clear communication skills.
• Must pass a respiratory fitness test.
• OSHA forklift license.
• Training and knowledge in the use of PPE.

Work Environment

Sanitation employees work in indoor and outdoor settings with exposure to wet/humid conditions, extreme heat or cold, high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, fumes, and nuisance dusts. Required PPE includes a bump cap, eye and ear protection, gloves, and seatbelts to ensure safety and product quality.
