About the Role
This position is for a 3rd Shift Production Worker - Winder C who will perform work in a team environment, adhering to all safety, attendance, and work rules, regulations, and equipment requirements.
Responsibilities
- Basic assembly and testing of electromechanical assemblies for turbine components, including installation, adhesive bonding, drilling, tapping, torquing, lubricating, and wiring
- Work from engineering drawings, work instructions, and wiring diagrams
- Assemble, bend, form, braze, tape, and stack generator parts, assemblies, and components for both new builds and services
- Assemble, fit, and connect a variety of generator parts and components
- Utilize standard tooling to complete work tasks
- Use proper chemicals while understanding safety data and shelf-life information
- Follow EHS compliance for turbine assembly and testing
- Perform complete and accurate quality documentation
- Assist in implementation of documentation and process improvements
- Assist in testing and minor inspections as needed
- Move material/product using cranes (Level 2) and other approved material movement equipment, such as fork trucks
- Unload and prepare parts/product for shipment
- Perform complex repair work
- Provide on-the-job training to other personnel as needed
- Complete daily housekeeping functions, including 5S and parts kitting
- Assist in all aspects of service and repair work
- Demonstrate ability to follow policies and practices to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost
Physical Demands
- Constant standing
- Frequent handling of various parts for assembly, walking, reaching at waist level, pushing/pulling, grasping/squeezing, pinching, fine motor dexterity, neck flexion, and using air tools
- Occasional sitting, reaching overhead, reaching at shoulder/knee/floor level, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, crawling, ladder/stair climbing, pivoting, twisting, neck extension/rotation, and using vibratory tools
- Handling and lifting of parts and/or equipment
- Adherence to safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out, reporting safety concerns, and using appropriate PPE
- Ability to work in a loud/noisy and non-climate-controlled environment (hot or cold)
- Ability to work overtime and switch between various production assignments as required
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Ability and willingness to work 3rd Shift (11 p.m. – 7 a.m.)
- Ability and willingness to lift up to 40 pounds
Qualifications (Desired)
- 1 year of manufacturing experience
- 1 year of relevant work experience
- Ability to convey technical/mechanical skills
- Vocational certification
- Prior manufacturing production, warehouse, or industrial assembly experience
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to read schematics/drawings
- Knowledge of safe shop operation practices
- Qualified in various manufacturing functions (e.g., forklift operation)
- Prior experience assembling mechanical components
- Ability to identify maintenance issues with machinery or equipment
- Focus and understanding of LEAN principles
- Ability and willingness to work overtime

Pay
The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
