3rd Shift Production Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Oversees production operations on the assigned shift.
• Prepares work schedules to ensure efficient operations.
• Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment.
• Ensures that products are identified, weighed, and warehoused correctly.
• Troubleshoots issues that arise.
• Works collectively with scheduling, purchasing, shipping, maintenance, and customer service to ensure a cost-effective product delivered on-time.
• Works with supervisor to drive plant metrics scorecards while maintaining appropriate headcount, efficiency, spending, and budget adherence.
• Establishes measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Safeguards compliance with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Leads a group or team of support, craft, or lower level professional associates.

Requirements

• BS/BA in a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in a related field.
• May require certification.
• Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

Nature and Scope

This position typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. It is typically located in a comfortable indoor area with regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors like dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights. Most of the time is spent sitting in the same position or standing/walking, and there is some requirement to lift or handle material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).
