3rd Shift Production Operator

Responsibilities

  • Embody Omya values, fostering a culture of respect, ethical conduct, and continuous improvement.
  • Set up and operate production machinery, including forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts, to meet daily and weekly goals.
  • Perform rigorous quality control testing, adjust set points based on lab data, and take corrective actions for any deviations.
  • Maintain product purity and prevent contamination during transitions.
  • Conduct shift inspections, perform maintenance, and troubleshoot equipment issues; collaborate with Maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
  • Document key parameters and equipment status for seamless shift transitions and informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate proactively with other departments to resolve issues and uphold production quality.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and quality procedures, aiming for zero lost-time injuries and conducting daily hazard inspections.
  • Pursue continuous learning to deepen understanding of production processes and best practices.
  • Demonstrate versatility by stepping into the Lead Operator role when needed, providing guidance and managing production processes.
  • Respond effectively to emergencies under the direction of the Production Supervisor or Lead Operator.
  • Work overtime and accept call-ins as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in industrial equipment operation are highly desirable.
  • Proven proficiency in operating heavy machinery, including forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
  • Computer literacy with the ability to navigate and utilize various software systems.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate procedures and instructions.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with a keen aptitude for both.
  • Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs. and performing physical tasks such as reaching, climbing, and moving on/off industrial equipment.
  • Ability to work in diverse environmental conditions and adapt to physical demands.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.

Schedule

  • Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM.
  • Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production needs.

Pay

  • Pay range: $28.67 – $34.81 per hour.
  • Shift differential: +$2 per hour.
