3rd Shift Press Operator

Responsibilities

• Load steel on payoff wheel
• Stage steel
• Dump scrap hoppers
• Print labels
• Use a variety of gauges to ensure quality
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment at all times
• Label, scan, and move product per specifications
• Enter data into Measurlink
• Follow all rules, regulations, and work processes set forth by the company
• Hold self-accountable to create and maintain a safe working environment
• Competently perform all tasks with a focus on safety within a fast-paced environment
• Contribute to team effort by focusing on continuous improvement and success for the entire team
• Perform other duties as assigned by management for training, assistance, or other reasons

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with operating a forklift
• Basic computer knowledge
• Great organizational and time management abilities
• Attention to detail
• Effectively communicate in a professional demeanor with the public or any level of employees
• Ability to safely work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
• Ability to work in a team environment or independently
• Ability to work overtime
