3rd Shift Plant Operator
Shift: 3rd shift (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM). The plant operator is expected to work a 40-hour work week and occasional overtime.
Pay
Base salary range varies based on experience, certification, education, market conditions, and location. Additional compensation includes:
- $2/hour shift premium
- $4,000 sign-on bonus

Responsibilities
- Control, operate, and maintain automated production machinery that blends, mixes, processes, dries, fills, and packages Zinpro products
- Operate equipment including reactor, dryer, blending, bagging, and material handling equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on production equipment
- Handle shipping, receiving, and warehousing tasks
- Conduct sampling, data collection, and process operations according to production, regulatory, and feed safety requirements
- Ensure nonconforming raw materials, in-process, and finished products are properly identified, segregated, and dispositioned
- Proactively identify and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality
- Receive and complete work direction and job assignments from management
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (minimum required)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a production environment
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic troubleshooting
- Basic computer skills (PC) and working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Effective communication with coworkers and management
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Post-secondary education
- 3+ years’ experience in a related production environment (chemical, feed, paper, ethanol, or dairy manufacturing)
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and perform maintenance-related tasks
- Boiler operation experience
- Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or inventory management systems (e.g., ERP)
- Experience supporting ISO 9000 Quality Systems, GMPs, or Lean Manufacturing methods
