What Drives Success

A Welder for Lennox AES at our Tallassee, AL location is a skilled position responsible for performing welding tasks with precision and expertise. They work with various materials, such as galvanized steel and aluminum, interpret blueprints, and ensure the quality and integrity of our products (roof curbs, drop boxes, etc.). This will be a 3rd shift position with the following hours: Monday-Thursday 8pm-6:30am.

Duties

  • Fabricate custom and standard products from blueprints with high attention to detail and efficiency.
  • Communicate with shop manager and engineering on product issues and assist with streamlining methods for production.
  • MIG weld 10-to-20-gauge galvanized steel for adapters, curbs, and other products.
  • Conduct visual inspections of welded components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Work closely with engineers, fabricators, and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and successful project completion.
  • Under direct supervision, spot welds together metal components.

What We Are Looking For

  • Familiar with safe welding practices.
  • Capable of learning to read fabrication drawings with some instruction.
  • Capable of welding 10-to-20-gauge galvanized steel. (Can be taught)
  • Must be physically capable of loading fabrication parts onto the weld table.
  • Capable of blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
  • Individual must be a self-starter and need minimal guidance on daily task.
  • Must be quality oriented with strong attention to detail.
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints, tape measures, diagrams.
  • Education/Experience: Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred: Trade school or certification in welding. Required: 1-year previous MIG welding experience.
  • Able to work with a positive attitude and in a team setting.
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.

Compensation

  • This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay for this role is $19.50/hour with a shift differential of $2.00.
  • Factors that may affect the full pay range for employees in this role and market include geography/market and the individual’s tenure, performance, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
  • Employees in this role are not eligible for a bonus but do earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
