3rd Shift MIG Welder
MIG Welder for cabinets and racks fabricates, assembles, and welds metal components using Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) techniques based on blueprints and customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on sheet metal and structural components, utilizing jigs and fixtures to maintain accuracy and minimize distortion.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications, and weld symbols to plan procedures.
- Adjust welder settings including voltage, amperage, wire feed speed, and shielding gas flow.
- Clean and prepare surfaces; grind or sand and finish welded parts.
- Inspect completed joints for defects (porosity, cracks) to meet strength and cosmetic standards.
- Adhere to 5S standards, maintain a clean workspace, and perform basic machine maintenance.
- Operate in a warehouse production environment, managing wire feed, gas flow, and voltage to meet quality and efficiency standards.
Requirements
- 1+ years of industrial welding experience.
- High school diploma or GED; technical school training is preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints, read/write, and understand verbal instructions.
- Proficiency in GMAW/MIG techniques and knowledge of metal properties.
- Ability to lift heavy materials up to 50 lbs, push, bend, pull, stand for long periods, and work in varied temperatures.
