3rd Shift Med Tech/Caregiver

About the role

Homestead Health Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Caregivers to provide care to our residents and administer medications in Flint, MI. The Caregiver will assist residents with activities of daily living and provide companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, possess excellent communication skills, and foster genuine relationships with seniors.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
• Administer medications and injections to residents based on medical charts and follow procedures for documenting medications.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Maintain cleanliness of the environment, including light housekeeping.
• Report any changes in the resident's condition to the supervisor.
• Communicate professionally with families, support services, and coworkers.
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Experience working with the elderly.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Every other weekend is required.
• Reliable transportation.
• Valid Driver’s license or ID.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to arrive on time for every shift.

Schedule

This is a part-time position. Caregivers will be scheduled to work 8-hour shifts, with every other weekend required.

Pay

Hourly pay is $16.00 per hour with room for growth.
