About the Role
This fully onsite position is located in Lititz, Pennsylvania, North America, and reports to the Business Unit Manager of Oral Care.
Responsibilities
- Supervise production team to meet production goals related to the operation of high-speed packaging lines and manufacturing platforms to support internal and external customer expectations for quality, timeliness, and cost.
- Establish personnel schedules based on business needs and provide input to production flow while identifying potential manufacturing risks and challenges.
- Compile and report on production metrics.
- Train staff in policies and procedures, including areas of safety and quality, ensuring all activities protect the health and safety of colleagues and comply with all policies and procedures.
- Establish a work environment that embraces change by providing leadership needed to implement and deliver goals that achieve business, customer, and consumer needs.
- Continuously assess work and processes to ensure compliance with all required standards, policies, and procedures.
- Facilitate communication activities and act as a liaison between hourly colleagues and other leaders at the site.
- Understand and ensure adherence to the union collective bargaining agreement.
- Recommend changes to standard operational and working practices, providing leadership vital to develop and implement continuous improvements.
- Work with the Business Unit Manager to develop and implement methods and processes that optimize the flow and use of material, machine, and human resources.
- Supervise all hourly colleagues on the shift within the business unit, ensuring performance standards are achieved and driving employee and equipment productivity, uptime, and efficiency to achieve optimum results in quality, production, health, safety, and cost of goods.
- Provide feedback to operational budgets and understand financial drivers.
- Maintain appropriate levels of labor, scrap, data integrity, schedule attainment, quality, uptime, runtime, cycle time, and housekeeping.
- Recommend changes in working conditions and equipment to increase the efficiency of the business unit and staff.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience or Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Operations, Manufacturing, or Packaging is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication in the English language.
- Basic to intermediate math (computational) ability.
- Strong analytical and technical writing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing, communication, listening, negotiating, and problem-solving/decision-making skills.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience and/or certification(s) related to TPM, TPS, Lean, or Six Sigma.
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in GMP environments.
- Prior supervisory experience.
- Previous manufacturing and packaging experience.
- Experience with Six Sigma/Process Excellence tools.
Pay
Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $90,100.00 to $127,200.00, taking into account work location, candidate’s skills, experience, education level, and other job-related factors.
