3rd Shift Manufacturing Engineering Tech

About the Role

Develop programs and parameters for production processes including fabricating and machining systems, tooling design, assembly and rebuild, and development support. This includes maintenance responsibilities for repairing and rebuilding equipment within the Vehicle Technology Group (VTG).

Responsibilities

• Assemble automatic and manually operated machining fixtures and tooling.
• Repair equipment and facilities in the Canton VTG facility.
• Build components from hand sketches, prints, or verbal instruction.
• Build, install, and debug electrical panels, enclosures, and equipment.
• Handle operations and skills outside of established procedures.
• Identify areas for improvement in tooling, cleanliness, operation sequences, or forming consistency to increase throughput or product quality.
• Develop process documentation and systems to maintain equipment and facilities.
• Assist in the development of quality systems for new products and processes.
• Assist in daily troubleshooting of robotic or tooling problems.
• Assist with maintenance of the plant/building area.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience; an associate degree in a related field is highly desirable.
• Experience and demonstrated capability in Hendrickson manufacturing operations can offset the degree preference.
• Excellent demonstrated mechanical ability.
• Ability to read and create blueprints.
• Robotic and/or PLC programming experience.
• Electrical maintenance background.
