3rd shift Maintenance Technician

Kent Quality Foods, a premier manufacturer of specialty meat products, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Hudsonville facility. Responsibilities

• Use strong electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical system troubleshooting capabilities to ensure equipment and facility operate properly by performing preventative maintenance and emergency repairs in breakdown situations.
• Complete assigned work orders in accordance with procedures, schematics or manuals in a timely manner.
• Conduct daily inspections and walk-throughs as time allows.

Requirements

• 3 years of relevant experience in a production, manufacturing, industrial maintenance, or similar hands-on maintenance environment.
• Strong electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical system troubleshooting capabilities.
• Respect and adherence for safe work practices and quality control.
• Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
• A willingness to learn from and share best practice approaches with peers within the maintenance department.
• Ability to communicate maintenance updates to peers, other departments, management, and employees.
• A strong work ethic; able to work independently.
• A results-oriented mindset with a willingness to take ownership for outcomes.
• Basic math skills plus fractions, decimals, percentages, rates, and ratios.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, work in a refrigerated production environment, and occasionally lift up to 70 lbs., and use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and equipment to perform duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.

Benefits

• Starting pay rate of $26.00 per hour, plus a $3 per hour shift differential.

Schedule

• 3rd shift position, Monday through Friday, with shifts beginning between 9:00 and 10:00pm and averaging 8-12 hours per day.
• Occasional Saturday work may be required based on facility needs.
