3rd shift Maintenance Tech

Pay Rate: $30.24/hr. with $0.25 shift differential (3rd shift)

Responsibilities

• Participate in preventive maintenance program for plant equipment, machinery, and related facilities; identify equipment maintenance needs; record mechanical equipment readings; ensure accuracy of records kept.
• Perform routine mechanical, electrical, welding, or machining maintenance activities on equipment including lubrication, inspection, and replacement parts; order and maintain stock levels of lubricants used in plant equipment.
• Maintain records of plant function readings and equipment history; maintain preventative maintenance records and schedules.
• Conduct performance tests of plant equipment using tachometers, pressure gauges, flowmeters, amp and volt meters.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, update, and repair malfunctioning plant equipment including compressors, belt press, valves, drive units, hydraulic control units, pneumatic equipment, and hydraulic pressure systems.
• Assist crews in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
• Participate in the installation of plant equipment; participate in making modifications to equipment.
• Maintain efficient records on operations and activities; maintain plant safety records; prepare a variety of reports on data.
• Ensure and adhere to safe work practices and procedures including but not limited to lockout/tag out and confined space rules and regulations.
• Interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and diagrams for a variety of wastewater systems.
• Operate a variety of heavy equipment including forklifts and others as necessary.
• Participate in special projects as assigned.
• Perform building maintenance tasks as needed.
• Develop, coordinate, and track project list activities.
• Ensure that a high level of safety is always adhered to on and off the production floor.
• Maintain workstation clean and free from dirt and debris.
• Follow plant-specified job specification and task list.

Requirements

• Moderate to heavy lifting: between 10 and 50 lbs. continuously.
• Perform various job functions throughout the day (multi-task).
• Stooping, walking, bending, twisting, standing, sweeping, hand motion, wrist motion, body rotation, counting, reading tape measure.
• Work in an environment that is often very hot in the summer and cool in the winter.
• Comply with safety policies and procedures.
