3rd Shift Maintenance Mechanic

About the role
As a 3rd Shift Maintenance Mechanic at our Broadway, VA processing plant, you will perform basic maintenance functions in processing areas independently. You will also work in all processing areas as needed, either independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic maintenance functions in processing areas
- Operate and maintain machinery with a strong understanding of mechanical mechanisms, hydraulics, pneumatics, and pipe fittings
- Use hand tools, cutting torches, and plasma cutters
- Read mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
- Identify, look up, and procure replacement parts, including completing necessary paperwork
- Comply with the CMM System for preventive maintenance (PMs), corrective work orders, and emergency work orders
- Sign out machine parts from the Parts Room
- Train and get certified to operate a forklift, pallet jack, scissor lift, and articulating boom
- Adhere to all plant policies and safety procedures, including PPE and good manufacturing practices
- Maintain a good attendance record and disclose any fear of heights
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum of three years of mechanical background and additional maintenance training/experience
- Reliable transportation to and from work
Skills
- Working knowledge of machinery and mechanical systems
- Proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, and pipe fittings
- Ability to read and interpret schematics (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic)
- Experience with hand tools, cutting torches, and plasma cutters
- Strong understanding of maintenance systems and work order processes

Pay
Base hourly salary rate of $27.85–$38.10 per hour, plus a $1.00 shift differential.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:30 PM–5:30 AM, with some weekend work required.
