3rd Shift Lead Compounder

Description Overview

We are looking for a Lead Compounder to join our 2nd shift team here at our Perrigo facility in Bronx, NewYork.

This is a Union Position - Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour with a 5x8 schedule.

Scope of the Role

• Weighing of raw materials
• Monitoring batch procedures
• Setting up, operating various kettles and pumps
• Moving materials to and from the compounding area
• Singing batch records and making log entries
• Following written instructions
• Following all SOPs for MFG/Compounding
• Completing set-ups of equipment to be used for manufacturing
• Compounding batches from copy of master
• Cleaning equipment/container/area as needed
• Cooperating with QA inspectors
• Following appropriate cleaning procedures
• Maintaining operating schedule
• Maintaining daily professional work relations with division employees, managers and supervisors
• Following all safety rules, company policies and procedures
• Ensuring all water requirements are obtained as needed
• Monitoring batches as they are being processed
• Ensuring batches are being properly manufactured
• Reviewing activity of compounders/set-up operators to ensure all work is properly completed
• Completing sign-offs as required by the SOP

Experience Required

• One year of compounding experience preferred
• Must be able to read English, sign batch records and log entries after each step as required
• Must be able to lift materials/equipment weighing between 25 – 50 lbs
• Must be able to wear full/half face respirator
