About the Role
This position is responsible for the assembly of DT12 transmissions by way of the established remanufacturing process. The associate will assemble all components onto DT12 transmissions to complete builds ready for dyno.
Responsibilities
- Perform physically demanding manufacturing duties including repetitive processes, moderate to heavy lifting, use of machinery, and following standardized work procedures.
- Actively participate in improving the work area in terms of safety, quality, attendance, productivity, suggestion activities, housekeeping, and throughput.
- Operate torque wrenches, air tools, presses, gauges, hoists, hand tools, computers, and PIV.
- Use pallet jacks and hoists.
- Properly identify component parts by learning identification numbers.
- Inspect parts and identify those that do not meet standards.
- Assemble transmissions using work instructions, manufacturer’s procedures, and O.E. specifications.
- Diagnose and correct issues with builds as they arise.
- Adhere to established work rotation plans.
- Complete training matrix for each rotation position.
- Read and understand Work Station Instructions.
- Use computer systems to access company data, drawings, bills of materials, and specification sheets in both electronic and hard copy.
- Maintain a clean work area, meet quality standards, and implement continuous improvement measures.
- Cross-train on other jobs as required.
- Operate riveting, torquing, hand tools, and small power tools safely and nondestructively.
- Collaborate with a team and work independently.
- Work overtime when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Capable of repetitive hand manipulation, grasping, and supporting power tools.
- Able to stand on concrete for entire shift with repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds (with assistance from a team member or use of hoist).
- Ability to read and understand Work Station Instruction documentation.
- Established satisfactory attendance record and performance rating.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing (automotive/trucking) environment.
- Previous mechanical experience.
- High School Diploma / GED preferred; further college education a plus.
Skills
- Keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.
- Ability to problem-solve and diagnose unit functionality.

Pay
Starting pay of $23.00/hr. up to top pay of $32.46/hr. Quarterly gainsharing bonus potential and additional shift differential for off-shifts.
Schedule
This is an onsite position located in Byesville, OH. Relocation assistance is not available. Applicants must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. at the time of application.
