Key Responsibilities
- Leading and supporting daily CNC production to meet safety, quality, and delivery goals
- Supervising, coaching, and mentoring CNC operators; assigning work and monitoring performance
- Troubleshooting machining, programming, tooling, and process issues to minimize downtime and scrap
- Monitoring part quality, stopping production when issues arise, and escalating concerns as needed
- Enforcing safety standards, work instructions, and SOPs while fostering a safety culture
- Training and onboarding new employees on machine operation, quality, and safety
- Collaborating with engineering, quality, maintenance, and scheduling teams
- Maintaining accurate records of production, labor, and machine maintenance
- Identifying and supporting continuous improvement across processes and teams
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred
- At least 5 years of CNC machining experience; leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of CNC machines, tooling, and machining processes
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments
