We are in Rock Spring, GA, and operate on 3 shifts with 400 employees. We have three main manufacturing departments, Casting, Machining, and Press Assembly. We are part of Astemo, Inc. with 90,000 employees worldwide. Tasks And Responsibilities This manufacturing department position is responsible for the producing quality products for use in automotive or power sport vehicles and may be assigned to one of the following roles or processes as needed: Quality check of machined aluminum productsLoading of machined aluminum product into manual assembly machineLoading of machined aluminum product into automated assembly machineUnloading of assembled product from manual assembly machineUnloading of assembled product from automated assembly machineLoading of assembly model componentsUnloading of assembly model components due to line or model change oversMust be able to work where needed in the assembly departmentMust be able to support other departments as and when needed When accomplishing tasks, remember to work toward meeting overall company goals established which include, OSHA safety compliance, ISO 14001 Environmental Compliance, Ethical & Legal compliance, Customer Quality, Production to Plan, and Delivery Performance. Safety & Environmental Promotes a safety first attitude and provides safe work environment by obtaining knowledge and then following all required OSHA regulations which may or may not include: Personal Protective Equipment, LOTO (lock out tag out), Crane, Powered Lifts, Machine Guarding, Chemicals, Fall Protection, Fire Protection, Incident reporting, Respirator, Hearing conservation, Confined Spaces, and others. Maintain work areas to ensure safe and clean working conditions.When possible correct unsafe work conditions immediately. Quality Ensures the in process and the final product meets customer and Astemo Rock Spring quality specifications.Follows work instructions, point cards and communicates defects appropriately and immediately when quality issues occur.Follows the STOP, CALL, WAIT procedures Delivery Responsible for completing the planned production quantities as required. Productivity Achieves the planned production quantities as required by:Communicating issues to the line lead or supervisor immediatelyFollowing work instructionsWorking as a team and promoting teamworkPreventing interruptions to work flow and productivitySuggesting improvements to productivity, quality, safety etc. Reporting Reports safety incidents or near misses, issues with equipment or quality concerns, and workflow interruptions.Reports monthly “Ask Here” to help make Astemo Rock Spring better Preferred Skills Good problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication skills, able to build friendly work relationshipsFamiliar with manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures Minimum Experienced Preferred Previous experience in related field Key Metrics Responsibility Zero Safety IncidentsZero Customer Quality defectsZero Late DeliveriesPerfect Attendance Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, to use hand to finger; handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
