3d Printing Technician

We are a tight-knit team of technicians, designers, and engineers working with industrial 3D printing technology to manufacture parts for customers across automotive, aerospace, defense, consumer products, and industrial markets. About the role

Entry-level position operating 3D printing machines, post-processing parts, as well as general assembly of finished goods, and shipping duties. This is an entry-level position with opportunities for advancement. Successful team members may be trained in machine operation, quality inspection, equipment maintenance, and other advanced manufacturing processes as they gain experience.

Responsibilities

• Unpacking 3D printer builds each morning
• Post-processing: remove support from printed plastic parts (using chemicals), cut, file, sand, glue, and paint parts as needed
• Utilize post-processing equipment: hand/power tools, operate bead blasting equipment, and parts dyeing machine
• Light assembly: use hand tools (taps, arbor press, snap ring tool, etc.) to build up finished assemblies
• Shipping: utilize project tracking software for shipping instructions, package parts securely and safely for delivery
• Cleaning: maintain a clean workshop environment
• Communicate and document part defects according to QMS
• Meet delivery deadlines to ensure customer satisfaction
• Proper use and storage of hazardous materials according to SDS requirements
• Use PPE such as masks and appropriate gloves when working in the shop

Requirements

• High school education required
• Experience with hand/power tools and operating a hi-lo preferred but not required
• Capability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift 50lb or more
• Good mobility to clean the machine in tight areas
• Must relocate to Coopersville, MI before starting work
• Must pass an FBI NICS background check (no felonies or disqualifying records)

Pay

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour ($35k – $42k per year)

We hold a Federal Firearms License; you will be required to pass an FBI NICS background check before being hired.
