3D Generalist
Position Summary
The 3D Generalist at STERIS is responsible for creating 3D content and instructional material for various projects, sales, service, and customer programs. This individual uses multiple software tools for development, including immersive virtual reality platforms, product configurators, and instructional materials.
What You'll Do
- Take direction on prioritization for 3D content creation and meet set deadlines driven by customer needs and organizational support.
- Work with engineering/R&D and marketing to establish standard expectations for source files.
- Assign materials, handle parametric details, perform artistry, and manage inverse kinematics (IK).
- Create and design user interface (UI) and user experience (UX).
- Mentor daily responsibilities and skills within the Content Group for cross-functional multidisciplinary support.
- Travel as needed for ongoing training.
The Experience, Abilities And Skills Needed
- Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience, or Associates degree and 4 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in 3D modeling.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Functional understanding of Unity 3D, Unreal3D, Maya (preferred), or 3D Studio Max.
- Knowledge of healthcare planning philosophies, hospital design, and policies and procedures is desired.
- Ability to develop and apply analytical approaches to assignments and implement solutions.
- Well-organized and detail-oriented.
- Above-average written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to develop and train entry-level personnel.
- Professional communication skills with Architects, Consultants, Contractors, and Customers.

- Pay range for this opportunity is $68,600 - $88,000. This position is eligible for bonus participation.

Pay range for this opportunity is $68,600 - $88,000. This position is eligible for bonus participation. Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
