3D Experiential Designer

About the role

Our client is seeking a Freelance 3D Experiential Designer to support an upcoming project. This role is ideal for a designer with strong experiential and fabrication-focused design experience who can independently create high-quality renderings and technically accurate designs that bring concepts to life. The right candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of projects, and can translate creative concepts into production-ready designs.

Duration: Project-Based Freelance Assignment
Location: Remote

Responsibilities

• Design and render experiential environments, event spaces, and custom sets for client presentations and visualization.
• Create detailed 3D models and renderings that can be seamlessly translated into fabrication.
• Develop technical designs with accurate measurements, dimensions, and production specifications.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure designs align with both creative vision and fabrication requirements.
• Incorporate feedback quickly while maintaining project timelines and quality standards.
• Proactively identify potential challenges, ask thoughtful questions, and recommend solutions.

Requirements

• Proven experience designing experiential, event, environmental, or fabrication-based projects.
• Strong 3D rendering and visualization skills.
• Ability to create technically accurate designs that can be fabricated from final production files.
• Strong portfolio showcasing relevant experiential, event, environmental, or fabrication design work.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take ownership of projects.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret direction and execute effectively.
• Nice-to-Have: Proficiency in SketchUp.
