Summary The 3D Designer will play an integral role by providing in-house modeling discipline in partnership with the Sales, Engineering, Marketing, and Design teams. This role is crucial to external marketing through visualizations of our expansive campuses and world class facilities. This position will lead efforts to create 3D models, textures, and 3D environments of architectural buildings and customer solutions and integrate renders into photography using perspective matching and photo compositing skills. RESPONSIBILITIES, Other Duties May Be Assigned Gain a deep understanding of visualization and rendering mission for external and internal efforts and build a strategy for creating impactful assets around that mission.Developing architectural renderings for projects in various stages of design.Ensure presentations deliver the objectives of the mission and clearly articulate design solutions in 3D, visualization, and/or rendered output.Rapidly generate ideation via sketches (digital or analog) research and reference images and design modelsWork with graphic designers to integrate with graphic applicationsWork comfortably alongside writers, video producers, and other members of the creative team, in order to deliver a holistic creative solutionManage time and balance multiple projectsBe able to present your ideas eloquently and with poise and confidence to develop a partnership with your internal and external clientsResponsible for a project from start to ship including managing presentations, working with the internal or external customer, visualization design, and productionWork closely with leadership throughout production and clearly articulate creative concepts that can be produced on timeManage the handoff of assets to other media channels as appropriatePresent and check in with the Creative Director throughout the duration of the projectInspire the team through energy and optimism, pushing the envelope to advance the program and its goalsTo be able to work in a large, complex, and collaborative environment while still maintaining an independent mindTo be able to work directly with leadership to understand audiences and communication needs, mediums, and mission Basic Qualifications BFA in industrial design, architectural design, exhibit design, interior or equivalent1-3 years of industry experienceUnderstanding of technologies, materials & techniquesExperience in the architecture, design, construction industriesProficiency in REVIT, AutoCAD, BIM, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite is required.Proficiency in one or more of the following is required: Enscape, Lumion, Twin Motion, 3DSMax, Blender and V-Ray Preferred Qualifications Ability to understand the brand and the creative mission at its core and then translate it into other experiential mediumsExceptional design aesthetics and ability to constantly adapt to meet a breadth of a growing set of styles and mediums, including rendering, visualization, video, digital, and storytellingExceptional interpersonal communication skills across all mediumsHigh performance/high productivity mentalitySkilled in analytical thinking, modeling and rendering to support the design process Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Rendering and visualization skillsAnimation capabilities are a plusUnderstanding of photography and image manipulation techniquesKnowledge of various visualization and rendering software and ability to make recommendations TOTAL REWARDS This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending and HSA accounts; paid holidays; paid time off; paid volunteer days; employee assistance program; tuition assistance; parental leave; military leave assistance; QTS scholarship for dependents; wellness program, and other company benefits.This position is Bonus eligible.
