3D Animator – Contract

About the role

This role is for a skilled 3D animator with expertise in AI-driven video production to create a highly realistic, cinematic vertical video for TikTok. The project centers on telling an emotional story of a young Nigerian man’s journey from hardship to success, requiring a seamless blend of storytelling, technical animation, and advanced AI tools. The animator will be responsible for bringing to life six interconnected scenes, ensuring visual consistency, expressive character animation, and a professional film-quality finish suitable for social media platforms.

Responsibilities

• Produce a vertical 9:16 cinematic video for TikTok, approximately 6 scenes in length.
• Develop ultra-realistic 3D character models with consistent appearance, facial features, and attire throughout the video.
• Animate natural facial expressions, accurate lip-sync, and smooth body movements for all characters.
• Design and render authentic Nigerian village and urban settings with realistic lighting and cinematic camera angles.
• Integrate AI-generated voices and emotional background music to enhance storytelling.
• Ensure professional 4K film quality, expressive faces, and visually consistent scenes.
• Deliver a final video with the closing message: “Never look down on someone because you don't know what tomorrow will bring.”

Requirements

• Proven experience in 3D animation and AI video production, with a strong portfolio of cinematic or narrative-driven work.
• Proficiency in industry-standard 3D animation software (e.g., Blender, Maya, Cinema 4D) and AI video tools.
• Ability to create ultra-realistic human characters, with attention to facial expressions, lip-sync, and body movement.
• Experience designing authentic African environments and capturing cultural details.
• Skilled in cinematic camera work, lighting, and post-production for a professional film look.
• Familiarity with AI voice generation and integration of emotional music.
• Strong storytelling skills and ability to convey emotion visually.
• Ability to deliver in vertical 9:16 format optimized for TikTok.
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to meet project deadlines.
