3691 Operator Mechanic (Night Shift)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Sets up, troubleshoots, repairs and/or replaces parts, and operates qualified equipment in the Finished Goods Department.
• Maintains quality control by monitoring product adherence to food safety and quality standards.
• Performs quality checks of labels and coding on assigned line.
• Adjusts line speeds to ensure pasteurizer discharge accumulation tables are empty.
• Cleans and maintains assigned work area, including performing equipment PMs, checking oil levels, greasing, 5S, etc.
• Carries labeled boxes from designated point to label machine.
• Assists in training seasonal machine laborers.
• Operates two machines occasionally.
• Participates in training, employee meetings, committees, project teams, etc.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Additional trades training a strong plus.
• Must successfully complete company training modules for three pieces of qualified equipment.
• Ability to speak, read and write English required.
• Intermediate level computer skills needed.
• Intermediate level math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• CRC (Bronze level or higher) a plus.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with industrial or manufacturing equipment.
• Quickly diagnoses and resolves equipment issues.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and weekends when needed.

Pay

$18 - $20 per hour based on experience.
