Responsibilities
- Inpatient hospital duties: admissions, history and physicals, discharges, consultations, triage, and emergency response
- Procedural responsibilities: suturing, staple placement and removal, drain removal, shunt adjustments, and first assist in the operating room
- Outpatient clinic management: evaluation and treatment of new, established, and postoperative patients
- Participation in multidisciplinary rounds, care coordination, and patient education
- Opportunities for involvement in quality improvement initiatives, research, or educational projects, depending on interest and experience
Requirements
- Demonstrates strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable in both acute care and outpatient settings
- Eager to develop procedural and surgical first-assist skills
- Enthusiastic about contributing to an innovative and patient-centered practice
Qualifications
- Newly licensed considered and welcome to apply
- Nationally certified Advanced Practice Provider who provides primary and/or specialty care in a variety of healthcare settings
- Functions in collaboration with the health care team in accordance with certification and licensure
- Practice emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention and the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic health problems
- Responsible for dissemination of knowledge through instructing, leading and developing educational programs
