About the role

The Accountant I supports the daily functions of the Accounting Department by performing routine accounting activities under the supervision of senior accounting personnel. This role ensures the accuracy of accounting records and supports timely financial reporting and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepares invoices
• Prepares general ledger entries
• Performs general ledger account reconciliations
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• An associate’s or bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum number of 18 credit hours in accounting or finance.
• No previous work experience is required. If a degree is not in accounting or finance fields, a minimum of 18 college credits in accounting or finance fields are required.
• A degree with major in accounting or finance is preferred.
• Previous internship or work experience in government accounting or healthcare is preferred.
• Experience with general ledger entries is preferred.
