About the role

Assist teaching staff in a school setting by implementing teacher-designed instructional tasks and record keeping, along with other related duties as assigned. This position requires a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment for all students. The successful candidate will demonstrate dedication to ensuring all students have the opportunity to succeed, recognizing and addressing barriers to academic achievement.

Responsibilities

• Implement teacher-designed instructional tasks
• Assist with record keeping
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Meet ESSA requirements: two years (72+ quarter credits) of college credit or successful completion of Work Keys test prior to hiring
• Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
• Ability to communicate with co-workers, students, and the public
• Ability to communicate over the telephone
• Ability to hear (must respond to telephone, bells, students, co-workers, etc.)
• Ability to see (must respond to classroom disturbances, visual cues, student requests, etc.)
• Ability to operate office equipment
• Ability to carry or lift light loads (25 lbs) and occasionally climb a ladder

Preferences

• Bilingual in Spanish and English

Pay

$19.55 - $24.77 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

• 3.5 hours per day
• 183 days per school year
• Start date: August 27th
