About the role

This position is based in our large distribution center warehouse environment in Cranbury, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Review customer ticket and accurately determine appropriate size reel and type, size, and color of wire needed to complete order
• Correctly measure and cut wire to customer specifications
• Properly label all completed wire cuts with applicable information, including customer label
• Unload empty reels and reload new reels onto wire machine
• Restock and replenish wire on wire cutting racks
• Maintain organization and housekeeping of wire room area
• Maintain a clean and safe working area
• Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and OSHA safety standards
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes
• Attention to detail and good time management skills
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Ability to prioritize needs in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to exercise safety while carrying out all job responsibilities

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• The ability to stand and walk for the full length of the assigned shift
• The ability to lift, push, and pull material and objects weighing up to 50 lbs., and heavier weights with proper equipment
• The ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform various duties
• The ability to safely operate appropriate powered industrial trucks (training will be provided)

Pay

$21/hr.
