About the role
This role is responsible to complete orders by selecting products from the warehouse racks and to assemble, palletize and/or shrink wrap products/pallets for customer orders. An Order Selector may be required to use a variety of powered industrial equipment and may be required to work in dry or cooled product areas including refrigerated and freezer compartments.
Responsibilities
- Locate and lift cases, boxes, bags, and/or pallets of dry groceries, frozen foods, dairy products, produce, poultry, fish, beef, pork and related products in specific quantities for delivery to customers by using order sheets or an audio headset.
- Operate powered industrial equipment (e.g. single and double pallet jacks).
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including conducting inspections of powered industrial equipment using a safety checklist.
- Report damaged products, quality issues, and out-of-stock/low volume products.
- Utilize proper wrapping techniques to ensure safety of product to prevent damages.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior Order Selecting Experience Preferred.
- Prior experience operating power industrial equipment preferred.
- Must perform assigned tasks accurately while meeting production standards in a fast-paced warehouse operation.
- Able to safely operate warehouse equipment in accordance with Company safety policies and procedures.
- Able to work in multi-temperature areas as assigned (e.g. freezer, coolers, dry conditions).
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
Qualifications
- Constant lifting of cases of products weighing between 4.5 to 100 lbs.
- Constant pushing and pulling of cases utilizing upper body forces with a force of 50 lbs.
- Occasionally ascending and descending a step with a height of 19 inches to enter and operate the forklift.
- Constant dynamic forward bending postures to a height of 12 inches and a depth of 12 inches from the chest while holding a 2-lbs. pick tool to retrieve cases.
- Constant walking to retrieve cases throughout the work shift with frequent sitting to operate the forklift.
- Forklift use varies by position.
Skills
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment in accordance with Company safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to work in multi-temperature areas as assigned (e.g. freezer, coolers, dry conditions).
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions.

- $22.30 per hour, including $1 shift premium, paid weekly!
