2nd Shift Warehouse Lead for New England Coffee Company

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Affords assistance to the Warehouse Manager in assigning daily tasks to meet the daily delivery schedule, adjusting to changes and organizing the schedule for the next day.
• Ensures that paperwork is prepared at the start of the shift, segregates and distributes by route.
• Serves as a primary contact for employees regarding issues related to employee relations, training, safety, and general inquiries, reporting and escalating concerns to the Warehouse Manager.
• Enhances departmental efficiency and cost-saving opportunities through effective planning and time management.
• Collaborates with the Warehouse Manager in performance management, offering insights into performance and embodying the company's Core Values for each team member.
• Conducts new hire training and other specialized trainings.
• Verifies returns into the warehouse with warehouse staff.
• Closes the facility after shift, ensuring the safety of the building.
• Adheres to all safety procedures and actively participates in safety training and safety system ownership initiatives.
• Maintains safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and personnel; reports any injury, accident, or unsafe condition to the supervisor immediately.
• Supports and complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs); understands and follows the emergency action plan.
• Ensures the operation provides food-safe, quality products that meet or exceed all product specifications and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs with the ability to learn new software and systems with ease.
• Experience working in an ERP or warehouse management system preferred.
• Organized with a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team-based, collaborative environment.
• Ability to multitask.
