2nd Shift Warehouse I (Line Runner - Drystock)

Maintain Housekeeping

• Forklifts, work carts, stretch wrap machines, conveyors, dock and floors
• Safe and efficient movement of materials
• Facilitate approval and flow of materials

Understand Processes

• Materials Warehousing
• Receiving, storage, product transfers, shipping, picking, production schedules, returns, lot tracking, tempering/thawing, cycle counting, SAP and RF system operation

Job Duties

• Learn Receiver role
• Movements between ambient, refrigerated, frozen, hot room storage, staging and receiving areas
• Perform location moves and staging transactions
• Verify Lot Control and FEFO
• Operate various warehouse management systems (SAP and RF)
• Fill out paperwork
• Rotate packaging and raw materials on a FEFO basis
• Safely transfer pallets from wood to plastic
• Monitor plastic pallets
• Complete assigned cleaning tasks, cycle count, allergen audit, forklift inspection/watering, rack inspection and temperature check
• Segregate and pallet tag according to Allergen procedure
• Restack or upright tipped pallets
• Keep racks safe and usable
• Collect, sort and organize pallets
• Report damage immediately
• Swipe in/out on time
• Attend pre/post shift meetings
• Communicate with team and supervisor/manager
• Train others as assigned

Qualifications

• Age 18 or older
• Aptitude for automated mechanical processes with good troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Excellent interpersonal communication, math and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work multiple shifts and/or schedules
• High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience
• One-year related experience (preferred)

Work Environment

• Wet and/or humid environment
• Areas of high noise level
• High-speed manufacturing floor with frequent movement, line assignment changes, and tight production timelines
• Prolonged standing and repetitive tasks
• Standing for long hours
• Fast-paced
• Cold Temperatures
• May involve standing, lifting, and walking in refrigerated zones for extended periods
• Repetitive hand and arm movements required
• Must be able to stand for hours with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting

Pay and Benefits

The pay scale for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The pay range for prospective employees in this role is $26.48 per hour.
