2nd Shift Transportation Technician I

About the role

Provides safe, effective and efficient preventive and corrective maintenance to all Family Dollar Transportation equipment. Full time. Located at 201 E. Cherokee Rd, Duncan, Oklahoma 73533.

Responsibilities

• Performs all necessary repairs to all systems, sub-systems and components of company commercial trailers.
• Mounts and dismounts tires.
• Brands and places tires in inventory.
• Performs periodic equipment inspections, inbound equipment inspections and PM follow up work.
• Assists in maintaining an accurate parts inventory system.
• Assists in performing other maintenance-related activities, as needed.
• Follows set safety procedures and guidelines.
• Maintains an organized work area and promotes a safe working environment.
• Follows all Company policies and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in heavy-duty commercial trailer maintenance.
• Ideally, candidate will possess some formal equipment maintenance training from a Technical School.
• Must have a roll around type tool chest and all hand tools to perform assigned mechanic’s work.
• Basic computer is preferred.
