2nd Shift, Tool and Die Maker

Nature Of Duties

• Makes intelligent decisions for mold repair problems.
• Works with extreme accuracy on any type of tool work.
• Set-up and operate all machine tools and equipment.
• Use various hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Heat treats small tool and die parts.
• Make special cutters and mills.
• Dress grinding wheels as needed.
• Weld with TIG equipment.
• Repair and replace parts in hydraulic equipment.
• Install/maintain electrical items (heaters and sensors).
• Make ejector pins, core pins, make gate changes, K.O. bars, clean and polish mold cavities.

Education And Experience

• Prioritize 2 year degree in Machine Tool.
• At least 2-4 years of tooling experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in Tool & Die building or repairs is a plus.
