2nd Shift Supervisor Outbound Warehouse

About the role

Provide supervision to team leaders and warehouse associates assigned to pick, pack, and audit branch transfer and customer orders.

Responsibilities

• Ensure staff is appropriately trained in picking, packing, and quality control.
• Monitor shipment status based on priority and ensure on-time shipping requirements are met.
• Balance staffing needs while fulfilling customer orders.
• Work closely with the wire department and dispatch to ensure timeliness of truck departures.
• Implement quality audits to address areas of concern based on historic trends and recommend proactive solutions.
• Communicate status updates throughout the evening with other shift supervisors and managers.
• Motivate employees to meet productivity and efficiency goals.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

• Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
• Attention to detail and good time management skills.
• Fluent Spanish speaking skills required.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to prioritize needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to exercise safety while carrying out all job responsibilities.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• The ability to stand and walk for the full length of the assigned shift.
• The ability to lift, push, and pull material and objects weighing up to 50 lbs. and heavier weights with proper equipment.
• The ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform various duties.
• The ability to safely operate appropriate powered industrial trucks (training will be provided).
• This job is performed in a large distribution center warehouse environment.
• Ability to operate computers and/or relevant warehouse computer software.

Pay

Salary range: $60,000–$70,000

Schedule

Monday–Friday
Option 1: 3:00 PM start until completion of 2nd-shift picking
Option 2: 5:00 PM start until completion of 2nd-shift loading
