2nd Shift Senior Polisher/Welder

Role Responsibilities

• Safely set-up and operate department equipment.
• Perform required hand and machine operations to build, polish, and pack all diameters of Stainless Steel Air Cleaners.
• Interpret drawings and plan in proper sequence.
• Set-up and operate different types of presses, an Accrotech roller, spot welder, TIG welder, polishing buff machines, vibratory polishing machines, various wrappers, and other necessary hand tools to form, fabricate, and prepare parts for processing.
• Use care in all operations to prepare parts as per drawings and specifications.
• Use jigs, fixtures, positioners, clamps, etc. and align and set up work.
• Maintain a high level of quality in fabrication and assembly.
• Detect unusual conditions or defective material and report to supervisor.
• Perform light/preventative maintenance on department equipment.
• Monitor inventory levels and advise supervisor or materials group of low stock conditions.
• Understand and perform related-duties for all jobs in the department.
• Be able to lift pallets from stack up to shoulder height.
• Assist with ensuring work area is kept in a clean and orderly condition and report any unusual conditions to leadership.
• Perform 6S duties in assigned area(s).
• Perform other job-related duties as required or specified by leadership.
• Set-up and operate laser weld cell.
• Execute minor adjustments and troubleshoot issues with equipment.
• Work under minimal supervision.
• Able to repair product using TIG welding skills.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have physical ability to handle any size Air cleaner used in the manufacture of Stainless Steel Air Cleaners up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and routings.
• Punctual daily attendance is a key requirement for success in this position.
• TIG Welding proficiency is required.
