2nd Shift Quality Assurance Lab Technician PART TIME

Eligible for up to a $250.00 retention bonus.

Schedule

  • Monday–Thursday, 3:30 pm–9:00 pm
  • Additional hours may be required due to business demands

Requirements

  • Must complete a background check, pre-employment drug screen, and pre-placement screening that tests the ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds
  • Must be able to work with latex gloves, airborne seasoning, cardboard dust, cleaning solutions, and hot water
  • Must be able to work in a noisy and fast-paced environment
  • Good balance on slippery surfaces
  • Sustain concentration for up to 3 hours at a time

Responsibilities

  • Conduct hourly lab tests on finished product package weight
  • Perform statistical averaging of test results
  • Communicate test results to the shift supervisor and other key personnel
  • Operate x-ray machines to inspect and test products as required
  • Sample product and report results in a timely manner
  • Compile product, package, and ingredient data as required
  • Perform visual quality checks and locate products in the warehouse, production, and storage environment
  • Learn testing processes and proper operating procedures for quality assurance lab equipment
  • Communicate issues and information between shifts as required
  • Abide by all Safe Quality Foods (SQF) policies
  • Stand on the production floor for up to 3 hours at a time
  • Ensure manufacturing data is accurately entered and tracked in the ERP system, including production orders, materials, and finished goods
  • Update and maintain ERP records to reflect real-time data, including production status, material usage, and equipment maintenance
  • Enter production and manufacturing data into the ERP system, including raw material consumption, machine usage, labor hours, and quality control data
  • Track inventory levels in real-time and coordinate with necessary teams to ensure timely material replenishment
  • Clean and sanitize work areas and food processing equipment, walls, floors, etc., with the use of chemicals
  • Always wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when performing job duties
  • Follow all rules set by Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP) and Safe Quality Foods (SQF), and attend all related meetings and/or training sessions
