2nd Shift - Quality Assurance Inspector

About the role

As a CPI Quality Assurance Inspector, you complete the final inspection of each product to ensure parts and finished products meet CPI quality standards. You will occupy a key role in working with and for a company that builds the physical infrastructure that powers, protects, and secures the world’s digital technology. This position is located in CPI’s Georgetown facility on 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect manufactured, purchased, and returned parts against drawings, Bill of Material (BOM), cosmetic specifications, and/or other specifications.
  • Pay attention to details to ensure products meet specified quality levels.
  • Communicate quality issues/concerns with management and engineering team before approving product for customer shipment.
  • Request deviation from engineering team if required.
  • Apply inspection approval sign and document inspection results for record-keeping purposes.
  • Verify all components on the BOM, requirements on the drawing, and cosmetic specifications before product is ready for packaging.
  • Document results and activities in inspection records such as checklists, inspection logs, ERP, and non-conformance material reports.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Technical Competencies

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) required; some college experience preferred.
  • Ability to navigate CAD software programs.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office computer software experience.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Advanced knowledge and use of measuring devices.

Physical/Environmental Requirements

  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, carrying, stooping, and crouching.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
